With cultural roots in Chile, Claudio Cesar Ricci grew up in a strong musical environment. His father was a singer in a South-American folklore band with revolutionary background. Due to the dictatorship, his parents were forced to emigrate to Austria. Ever since, this view on politics and especially music, played a major role in his life.
2002 he founded the event platform MoviMiento, together with his friend and colleague Richard Rohr (Dj Saliva). The continuous success of the event series DIVINE lead to further gigs in vienna`s best known clubs and fetivals such as: Volksgarten, Flex, Pratersauna, Sass, Urban Art Forms, Beatpatrol, Frequency. These cooperations are important milestones along Claudio Ricci’s way to Austria`s top Dj league.
In addition to these national highlights, Claudio Ricci`s success also crossed the borders in 2007. Gigs at Space/Ibiza, Monza/Frankfurt, Felix/Berlin, Creamfields Festival/Czech Republic, Alte Boerse/Zurich Tunisia, Hungary, Spain or the mega event Life Ball are part of his schedule.
Claudio Riccis spectrum comprises every subgenre of house music. His sets are dynamic, diverse and across-the-genre. Because of this flexibility he plays deep to tech house with acts such as The Chemical Brothers, Kenny Dope, Eric Prydz aka Pryda, Groove Armada, Steve Lawler, Trentemoeller, Booka Shade and many more.
Claudio Ricci`s sound conveys an absolute positive attitude to life without any musical compromises and guarantees a successful club night.
“I’m inspired by the mixture of beats, percussions and melody that I find in my music. When everyone is dancing, the party is really perfect” says Claudio Ricci.
